Responsibilities
- Conduct 1-on-1 and small group virtual tutoring sessions in core academic subjects
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with Michigan educational standards
- Monitor student progress and provide detailed performance feedback
- Utilize interactive digital tools (whiteboards, simulations, quizzes) to enhance engagement
- Communicate progress updates to parents and academic coordinators
- Participate in ongoing professional development training
- Maintain accurate session records and student achievement data
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject field (or current enrollment)
- 1+ years of tutoring or teaching experience (virtual preferred)
- Proficiency in virtual tutoring platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.)
- Strong subject matter expertise in Math, Science, English, or Social Studies
- Excellent communication skills with ability to adapt to diverse learning styles
- Michigan teaching certification or willingness to obtain
- Reliable high-speed internet and dedicated quiet workspace
- Availability for weekday evening and weekend sessions
