Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1:1 and small-group virtual instruction in core subjects (Math, Science, ELA)
- Develop customized learning plans aligned with state standards and student needs
- Utilize interactive digital tools (Zoom, Google Classroom, proprietary platform) for effective teaching
- Track student progress and provide detailed progress reports to parents/educators
- Collaborate with academic team to refine curriculum and teaching methodologies
- Maintain a positive, supportive virtual classroom environment
- Participate in ongoing professional development workshops
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject area (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 2 years teaching/tutoring experience (virtual experience a plus)
- Ohio teaching certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Proficiency in virtual learning platforms and digital assessment tools
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with students
- Strong subject matter expertise in at least 2 core subjects
- Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home office setup
- Background check clearance required
