Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1:1 and small group virtual tutoring sessions in core subjects (Math, Science, ELA)
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with DC curriculum standards and student needs
- Monitor student progress through our LMS and provide detailed progress reports
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student achievements and areas for improvement
- Utilize digital tools (Zoom, interactive whiteboards) to create dynamic learning environments
- Collaborate with academic coordinators to refine tutoring strategies
- Maintain accurate session documentation and student records
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Math, Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 1+ years of formal tutoring or teaching experience (K-12 focus)
- Proficiency in virtual teaching platforms and digital learning tools
- Strong knowledge of DC Common Core State Standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles
