Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized 1:1 and small-group virtual instruction in core subjects (Math, Science, ELA)
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with Michigan state standards
- Utilize interactive digital tools (virtual whiteboards, gamified quizzes) for engaging sessions
- Monitor student progress through our learning management system
- Provide constructive feedback and progress reports to parents
- Collaborate with academic advisors to address learning gaps
- Maintain session documentation and student records
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject field
- 1+ years of tutoring or teaching experience (virtual preferred)
- Michigan teaching certification or equivalent credential
- Proficiency in virtual classroom platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom)
- Strong communication skills with ability to simplify complex concepts
- Patience and adaptability to diverse learning needs
- Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home office setup
- Background check clearance required
