Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging, one-on-one tutoring sessions via secure video conferencing platforms (e.g., Zoom, Google Meet).
- Develop tailored lesson plans and study materials that align with the student's curriculum and learning goals.
- Assess student proficiency levels and track progress through quizzes, exams, and feedback forms.
- Provide clear, constructive feedback and guidance to help students overcome academic challenges.
- Maintain accurate records of student sessions, grades, and attendance.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to provide updates on student performance.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and paces.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or holding a Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Education, English, Math, Science, or a related subject.
- Strong command of the English language with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous experience in tutoring, teaching, or mentoring students (online or in-person) is highly preferred.
- Proficient with technology, including video conferencing software, LMS platforms, and digital whiteboards.
- Ability to create a positive, encouraging, and structured learning environment.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and reside within the Milwaukee, WI area.
