Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1-on-1 and small-group virtual lessons in core subjects (Math, Science, English, History)
- Develop customized learning plans aligned with California state standards
- Monitor student progress through regular assessments and detailed progress reports
- Utilize interactive digital tools (virtual whiteboards, multimedia resources) to enhance learning
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student development
- Participate in ongoing professional development and curriculum updates
- Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions and student achievements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, Science, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of teaching/tutoring experience, preferably in virtual settings
- California teaching certification or equivalent subject expertise
- Proficiency in online tutoring platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills with ability to adapt to diverse learning styles
- Strong subject matter knowledge in at least two core curriculum areas
- Reliable high-speed internet and dedicated home office setup
- Background check and clear TB test required
