Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1-on-1 and small group virtual tutoring sessions in Math, Science, English, or Social Studies
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with North Carolina curriculum standards and student learning objectives
- Track student progress through our digital platform and provide detailed performance reports
- Communicate effectively with parents and EduConnect coordinators regarding student development
- Utilize interactive digital tools (whiteboards, simulations, multimedia resources) to enhance learning outcomes
- Participate in ongoing professional development workshops to refine tutoring methodologies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject field (Master's preferred)
- 1+ years of tutoring or classroom teaching experience with K-12 students
- Proficiency in virtual tutoring platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.) and digital teaching tools
- Deep knowledge of NC Standard Course of Study and ability to adapt teaching styles
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to build rapport with students
- Reliable high-speed internet and dedicated quiet workspace for remote sessions
