Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1-on-1 and small-group virtual tutoring sessions in core subjects (Math, Science, English, History)
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with student learning styles and curriculum standards
- Track student progress through our digital dashboard and provide detailed progress reports
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student achievements and areas for improvement
- Utilize interactive digital tools (whiteboards, simulations, multimedia resources) to enhance learning experiences
- Participate in ongoing training to master new teaching methodologies and subject matter updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of tutoring or teaching experience with proven results
- Expertise in at least two core academic subjects (STEM or humanities focus)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to adapt teaching to diverse learning styles
- Proficiency with video conferencing platforms and digital teaching tools
- Valid teaching certification or state-issued educator license (DC preferred)
- Background check clearance and ability to work legally in the US
