Responsibilities
- Deliver 1-on-1 and small-group virtual tutoring sessions in core subjects (Math, Science, English, History) and test preparation (SAT/ACT)
- Develop personalized lesson plans aligned with Florida state standards and student learning objectives
- Utilize interactive digital tools (whiteboards, simulations, multimedia resources) to create dynamic learning experiences
- Track student progress through our LMS and provide detailed feedback to parents and educators
- Maintain accurate session records and communicate regularly with academic coordinators
- Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance tutoring methodologies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve curriculum delivery and student outcomes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of tutoring or classroom teaching experience
- Florida teaching certification (or eligibility) preferred
- Proficiency in virtual tutoring platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, our proprietary system)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to adapt teaching to diverse learning styles
- Strong subject matter expertise in at least two core academic areas
- Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home office environment
- Background check clearance required
