Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1:1 and small-group virtual lessons tailored to individual learning styles
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with DC curriculum standards and student goals
- Track student progress using our proprietary learning management system
- Provide constructive feedback and progress reports to parents and school partners
- Utilize interactive digital tools (whiteboards, simulations, quizzes) to enhance comprehension
- Collaborate with academic advisors to optimize student outcomes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, STEM, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 1+ years of tutoring or teaching experience (virtual/in-person)
- Expertise in at least one core subject: Math, Science, English, or Test Prep
- Proficiency with video conferencing and digital learning platforms
- Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt to diverse learning needs
- DC teaching certification or willingness to obtain within 3 months
- Background check and fingerprinting clearance required
