Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized 1-on-1 and small group virtual tutoring sessions in core subjects (Math, Science, ELA, History)
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with state curriculum standards and student learning objectives
- Monitor student progress through regular assessments and provide detailed progress reports
- Utilize interactive digital tools (whiteboards, simulations, multimedia resources) to enhance engagement
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student achievements and areas for improvement
- Collaborate with academic advisors to address specific learning challenges and implement intervention strategies
- Maintain accurate session records and documentation in our tutoring management system
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject field (Master's preferred)
- Valid Kansas teaching certification or equivalent tutoring credentials
- Minimum 2 years of classroom or virtual tutoring experience
- Proficiency in digital tutoring platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, interactive whiteboards)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles
- Strong subject matter expertise in at least 2 core academic areas
- Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home workspace
- Background clearance verification required
