Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1-on-1 and small-group virtual tutoring sessions via our interactive platform
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with California state standards and individual learning objectives
- Monitor student progress and provide detailed performance feedback to parents and academic advisors
- Utilize digital resources and multimedia tools to create interactive learning experiences
- Maintain accurate session records and progress documentation in our student management system
- Participate in ongoing professional development and curriculum refinement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, STEM field, or related subject (Master's preferred)
- CA teaching credential or equivalent tutoring certification
- Minimum 2 years experience with K-12 virtual or in-person instruction
- Expertise in Common Core-aligned curriculum and Oakland Unified School District standards
- Proficiency in digital tutoring platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learners
- Background check clearance and reliable high-speed internet connection
