Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1:1 and small-group virtual tutoring sessions in core subjects (Math, Science, English, History)
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with Virginia SOL standards and student learning goals
- Track student progress and provide detailed feedback to parents and academic advisors
- Utilize our digital platform (Zoom, interactive whiteboards, learning management systems) for seamless instruction
- Maintain accurate session records and student documentation
- Collaborate with curriculum specialists to enhance tutoring materials
- Participate in ongoing professional development training
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (Master's preferred)
- Valid Virginia teaching license OR 2+ years verified tutoring experience
- Proficiency in virtual teaching tools and educational technology
- Strong subject matter expertise in at least 2 core academic areas
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with students
- Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home office setup
- Background check clearance required
