Responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 and small-group virtual tutoring sessions in mathematics, science, language arts, or standardized test prep
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and student learning objectives
- Monitor student progress through regular assessments and provide detailed progress reports
- Maintain a positive, engaging virtual classroom environment using interactive digital tools
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student achievements and areas for improvement
- Collaborate with academic coordinators to refine tutoring methodologies and materials
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject field (Master's preferred)
- 2+ years of teaching/tutoring experience, preferably in virtual environments
- Strong proficiency in digital platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, interactive whiteboards)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt teaching styles to diverse learners
- Valid teaching license or certification in North Carolina (or ability to obtain within 60 days)
- Background clearance and professional references required
- Availability for evening/weekend sessions (EST timezone)
