Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1-on-1 and small-group virtual tutoring sessions in core subjects (Math, Science, ELA, History)
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with Virginia SOL standards and student learning objectives
- Monitor student progress through regular assessments and provide detailed feedback
- Communicate effectively with parents, students, and academic coordinators
- Utilize our interactive digital platform (LMS, video conferencing, whiteboard tools)
- Participate in ongoing training and curriculum development initiatives
- Maintain accurate session documentation and progress reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject field (Master's preferred)
- Valid Virginia teaching license or equivalent tutoring certification
- 2+ years of experience in virtual or classroom instruction
- Expertise in at least two core academic subjects
- Strong proficiency with digital learning platforms and educational technology
- Excellent communication skills and ability to adapt teaching methods
- Background check and fingerprinting clearance
- Availability for weekday evening and weekend sessions
