Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1:1 and small-group virtual tutoring sessions in core subjects (Math, Science, English, History)
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with student learning objectives and curriculum standards
- Monitor student progress and provide detailed progress reports to parents and academic advisors
- Utilize our digital platform to create interactive learning materials and assessments
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and team members regarding academic goals
- Stay current with Albuquerque Public Schools curriculum requirements and educational best practices
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance tutoring techniques and digital skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject field (Master's preferred)
- 1+ years of tutoring or classroom teaching experience
- Strong subject matter expertise in at least two core academic areas
- Proficiency with virtual tutoring platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to connect with diverse learners
- New Mexico teaching certification or equivalent (or willingness to obtain)
- Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home office environment
- Background check and child safety certification required
