Responsibilities
- Conduct 1-on-1 Virtual Sessions: Deliver engaging and effective tutoring sessions via our secure online platform, covering a wide range of subjects including Math, Science, English, and History.
- Develop Customized Lesson Plans: Create tailored study materials and curriculums that align with state standards and individual student learning goals.
- Assess Student Progress: Monitor student performance through quizzes, assignments, and regular feedback, adjusting teaching methods to ensure mastery of concepts.
- Maintain Professional Communication: Foster a positive rapport with students and communicate regularly with parents or guardians to provide updates on progress and behavioral issues.
- Utilize Digital Tools: Proficiently use virtual whiteboards, screen sharing, and learning management systems to enhance the online learning experience.
- Adhere to Guidelines: Follow company policies, attendance requirements, and code of conduct to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, the subject matter you intend to tutor, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Proven experience in teaching, tutoring, or mentoring students (K-12 or Higher Ed).
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts simply.
- Technical Proficiency: Reliable high-speed internet connection and proficiency with basic computer hardware and software.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Deep knowledge of at least one core subject area (e.g., Algebra, Biology, Literature).
- Availability: Must be available to work a set schedule (e.g., evenings or weekends) and demonstrate punctuality.
