Responsibilities
- Deliver Engaging Lessons: Conduct one-on-one online tutoring sessions via our proprietary virtual classroom platform, ensuring students understand the material.
- Personalized Learning: Create customized lesson plans and study guides tailored to each student's specific learning style, pace, and academic needs.
- Track Progress: Monitor student performance and provide constructive feedback to parents and guardians regarding student development and areas for improvement.
- Curriculum Support: Assist students with homework, exam preparation, and project completion while fostering independent study skills.
- Communication: Maintain regular communication with the BrightPath Learning support team to report student progress and resolve technical issues.
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training webinars and workshops to stay updated on the latest educational methodologies.
Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Teaching certification is a plus but not always required.
- Experience: Previous experience in tutoring, teaching, or mentoring students of all ages (K-12, College) is highly valued.
- Technical Proficiency: Must have a stable high-speed internet connection and a quiet workspace. Proficiency with video conferencing tools (Zoom, Google Meet) and learning management systems (Canvas, Blackboard) is required.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts simply.
- Availability: Must be available to work a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during evenings or weekends to accommodate diverse student schedules.
