Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1-on-1 and small group virtual tutoring sessions in core academic subjects (Math, Science, English, etc.)
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with student learning objectives and curriculum standards
- Monitor student progress through regular assessments and provide detailed feedback to parents/guardians
- Utilize our interactive virtual platform (Zoom, interactive whiteboards, etc.) to create immersive learning environments
- Maintain accurate session records and communicate progress with academic coordinators
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance tutoring methodologies and subject expertise
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of tutoring or classroom teaching experience
- Proficiency in virtual teaching tools (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.)
- Strong diagnostic skills to identify learning gaps and adapt teaching strategies
- Excellent communication skills with ability to engage students remotely
- Baltimore, MD residency or willingness to serve Baltimore-area students
- Background check and education verification required
