Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, engaging one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions via Zoom, Google Meet, or our proprietary Learning Management System.
- Develop customized lesson plans and learning materials that cater to diverse learning styles and academic levels.
- Monitor student progress, assign appropriate homework, and provide detailed feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance metrics.
- Communicate proactively with parents and guardians to discuss student goals and curriculum updates.
- Stay updated on educational trends and methodologies to ensure teaching practices remain effective and innovative.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Math, Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in tutoring, teaching, or mentoring is highly valued.
- Must reside in the Charlotte, NC area (or be willing to commute to our downtown office for mandatory training).
- Demonstrable proficiency in using virtual classroom platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, Canvas, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts simply.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet, dedicated workspace.
