Responsibilities
- Virtual Instruction: Conduct one-on-one or small group virtual tutoring sessions tailored to the student's learning style and academic goals.
- Curriculum Development: Prepare customized lesson plans, practice problems, and review materials based on state standards and student needs.
- Student Engagement: Foster an encouraging and motivating virtual environment that builds student confidence and keeps them engaged.
- Progress Monitoring: Track student performance, provide constructive feedback, and adjust teaching strategies to ensure continuous improvement.
- Communication: Maintain professional communication with students, parents, and program coordinators regarding session outcomes and scheduling.
- Platform Proficiency: Utilize our proprietary online learning management system and digital whiteboard tools effectively during sessions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, the subject matter, or a related field is preferred; high school diploma/GED with significant subject expertise is also accepted.
- Experience: Proven experience tutoring or teaching the specific subject area (e.g., SAT/ACT, Algebra, Calculus, Biology).
- Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex concepts simply.
- Technology: Reliable high-speed internet and a dedicated workspace free from distractions.
- Availability: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate diverse student needs.
