Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1-on-1 and small-group virtual tutoring sessions via our interactive platform
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with Chicago Public Schools curriculum standards
- Monitor student progress and provide detailed performance reports to parents
- Utilize digital tools (whiteboards, screen sharing, educational software) for interactive learning
- Maintain accurate session documentation and track student achievement milestones
- Collaborate with academic advisors to address learning gaps and adjust teaching strategies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject field (Master's preferred)
- Illinois teaching certification or equivalent tutoring experience (2+ years)
- Proven expertise in K-12 curriculum (Math, Science, English, or Social Studies)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to simplify complex concepts
- Proficiency with video conferencing tools and digital learning platforms
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- Background check and fingerprinting clearance (required for Illinois roles)
