What You Will Do
Responsibilities
- Conduct 1-on-1 Virtual Sessions: Deliver engaging, interactive lessons via our secure video conferencing platform (Zoom/Teams).
- Customize Learning Plans: Develop tailored lesson plans that cater to individual student needs, learning styles, and academic goals.
- Assess & Report: Regularly evaluate student performance and provide detailed progress reports to parents and guardians.
- Maintain Engagement: Use digital whiteboards, gamified learning tools, and multimedia resources to keep students motivated.
- Professional Development: Attend ongoing training webinars to stay updated on the latest educational techniques and curriculum changes.
- Build Rapport: Foster a supportive, encouraging, and safe online environment to boost student confidence.
Qualifications
- Location Requirement: Must reside in or near Detroit, MI (to ensure alignment with local education standards).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education or the specific subject matter (e.g., Math, English, Science).
- Experience: Proven experience in tutoring, teaching, or mentoring students of various age groups.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong command of English.
- Technical Skills: Proficient with computers and reliable high-speed internet connection.
