Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1-on-1 and small-group virtual tutoring sessions in core subjects (Math, ELA, Science, History)
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with Michigan state standards and student learning objectives
- Monitor student progress through regular assessments and provide detailed feedback to parents/guardians
- Utilize our interactive virtual classroom platform effectively to enhance student engagement
- Collaborate with academic coordinators to track student goals and adjust teaching strategies
- Maintain accurate session documentation and progress reports
- Participate in monthly professional development workshops and peer mentoring sessions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject area (Master's preferred)
- Valid Michigan teaching certification OR current enrollment in an accredited education program
- Minimum 2 years of K-12 teaching or tutoring experience
- Proficiency in virtual tutoring platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.) and digital assessment tools
- Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction for diverse learning needs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home office environment
