Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one virtual tutoring sessions that are engaging, effective, and tailored to the student's specific needs.
- Utilize our proprietary Learning Management System (LMS) to track progress, assign homework, and provide real-time feedback.
- Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and pace of students.
- Maintain a professional, positive, and encouraging virtual environment to boost student confidence.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to discuss performance metrics and set academic goals.
- Participate in weekly professional development webinars and team meetings to stay updated on curriculum changes.
- Ensure all session logs and student reports are completed accurately and on time.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; a Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Math, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Deep knowledge of K-12 English or Math curriculum standards (Common Core).
- Previous tutoring, teaching, or mentoring experience is highly valued.
- Must have a stable, high-speed internet connection and a quiet, dedicated workspace.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts simply.
- Demonstrated reliability, time management, and a passion for student success.
- Ability to pass a background check and adhere to our strict code of ethics.
