Responsibilities
- Deliver 1-on-1 and small group virtual tutoring sessions in core subjects (Math, Science, English)
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with California state standards
- Monitor student progress and provide detailed progress reports
- Utilize interactive digital tools (whiteboards, simulations, assessment platforms)
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student development
- Participate in ongoing professional development workshops
- Maintain accurate session logs and academic records
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject field
- CA Teaching Credential or equivalent certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years tutoring or classroom experience
- Proficiency in virtual tutoring platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom)
- Strong communication skills and cultural competence
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles
- Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home office setup
- Clear background check and TB clearance
