Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1:1 and small-group virtual tutoring sessions in core subjects (Math, Science, English)
- Adapt teaching methods to individual student learning styles and academic goals
- Track student progress and provide detailed progress reports to parents
- Utilize digital platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, proprietary software) for seamless instruction
- Collaborate with curriculum specialists to align sessions with educational standards
- Maintain a positive, encouraging virtual classroom environment
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject field
- 1+ years of tutoring or teaching experience (K-12 focus preferred)
- CA teaching certification (or actively pursuing) highly desirable
- Proficiency with video conferencing and digital learning tools
- Excellent communication skills with ability to simplify complex concepts
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
- Background check and fingerprinting clearance required
