Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1:1 and small-group virtual tutoring sessions via our interactive platform
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with California state standards and student learning objectives
- Monitor student progress through regular assessments and provide detailed progress reports
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians to discuss student achievements and improvement areas
- Utilize digital tools like interactive whiteboards and educational software to enhance learning experiences
- Collaborate with academic advisors to address specific learning gaps and implement intervention strategies
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current on pedagogical best practices and curriculum updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject field (Master's preferred)
- CA teaching credential or equivalent tutoring certification
- Minimum 2 years experience tutoring K-12 students in core subjects
- Proven ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles
- Strong digital literacy with proficiency in video conferencing and educational software
- Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and academic staff
- Background check and fingerprint clearance compliant with CA education requirements
- Availability for evening/weekend sessions (Pacific Time)
