Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1-on-1 and small group virtual tutoring sessions via our interactive platform
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with California state standards and student learning objectives
- Monitor student progress through regular assessments and provide detailed feedback to parents/guardians
- Utilize digital tools (whiteboards, screen sharing, interactive quizzes) to create immersive learning experiences
- Collaborate with academic advisors to address student challenges and adjust teaching strategies
- Maintain accurate session records and progress documentation using our proprietary CRM system
- Participate in monthly professional development workshops and curriculum enhancement initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, Science, English, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of formal tutoring or classroom teaching experience
- Valid California teaching credential or equivalent certification (e.g., CRLA, ACTFL)
- Proficiency in virtual tutoring platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, our proprietary software)
- Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods for diverse learning needs and cultural backgrounds
- Strong diagnostic skills to identify learning gaps and create targeted intervention strategies
- Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and academic advisors
- Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home office environment
