Responsibilities
- Deliver 1:1 and small group virtual instruction in core subjects (Math, Science, ELA, Social Studies)
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and student needs
- Monitor student progress through regular assessments and provide detailed feedback
- Communicate effectively with parents, students, and academic advisors
- Utilize digital tools (Zoom, interactive whiteboards, learning management systems)
- Maintain accurate session records and progress documentation
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development workshops
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject area
- 1+ years of tutoring or teaching experience (K-12 focus)
- Strong subject expertise in at least 2 core academic areas
- Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with video conferencing and digital teaching tools
- Maryland teaching certification preferred but not required
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
