Responsibilities
- Conduct One-on-One Sessions: Deliver engaging, high-quality virtual lessons via Zoom or our proprietary platform to students in Austin and beyond.
- Curriculum Development: Create customized lesson plans and study materials tailored to each student's specific learning style and academic goals.
- Student Assessment: Regularly evaluate student progress through quizzes, assignments, and performance reviews to ensure mastery of concepts.
- Parental Communication: Provide clear, constructive feedback to parents/guardians regarding student performance and areas for improvement.
- Platform Management: Utilize our Learning Management System (LMS) to track attendance, assignments, and grades accurately.
- Adaptability: Adjust teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning needs and ensure an inclusive environment.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field is preferred; subject matter expertise in Math, Science, English, or standardized testing is essential.
- Experience: Prior tutoring or teaching experience is highly valued.
- Technical Skills: Reliable high-speed internet connection and proficiency with video conferencing tools (Zoom, Google Meet) and basic office software.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts simply.
- Availability: Ability to commit to at least 5-10 hours per week during evening or weekend hours (flexible scheduling available).
