Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging, one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions via Zoom, Google Meet, or our proprietary learning platform.
- Develop customized lesson plans tailored to each student's unique learning style, pace, and academic goals.
- Assess student proficiency and track progress through regular quizzes, tests, and feedback reports.
- Foster a positive, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment that boosts student confidence.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student performance and upcoming goals.
- Maintain punctuality and professionalism in all virtual interactions and administrative tasks.
Qualifications
- Must reside in or be willing to work from the Long Beach, CA area (or have reliable remote setup).
- Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Math, Science, or a related field is highly preferred.
- Proven experience in tutoring, teaching, or mentoring students (K-12 or College level).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
- Proficient in using technology, including video conferencing tools (Zoom, Teams) and digital whiteboards.
- Strong reliability, time management skills, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed.
