Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1-on-1 and small-group virtual tutoring sessions in mathematics, science, language arts, or social studies
- Develop personalized learning plans aligned with Indiana state standards and individual student needs
- Monitor student progress through our digital platform and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians about student achievements and areas for improvement
- Utilize interactive tools like virtual whiteboards and digital assessments to enhance learning
- Maintain accurate session records and progress reports through our tutoring management system
- Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on pedagogical best practices and curriculum updates
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject field (Master's preferred)
- 1+ years of tutoring, teaching, or instructional experience (remote experience a plus)
- Strong knowledge of Indiana Academic Standards for assigned subject area(s)
- Proficiency with virtual teaching platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with diverse student populations
- Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home office environment
- Indiana teaching certification or equivalent subject-matter expertise
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
