Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1:1 and small group virtual tutoring sessions in core subjects (Math, Science, ELA, History)
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with state curriculum standards and student learning goals
- Utilize interactive digital tools (whiteboards, simulations, assessments) to enhance remote learning
- Monitor student progress through regular assessments and provide actionable feedback
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student achievements and areas for improvement
- Collaborate with academic team to refine tutoring methodologies and content delivery
- Maintain accurate session records and progress documentation in our LMS system
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (or equivalent teaching certification)
- Minimum 2 years of classroom or virtual tutoring experience
- Proficiency in digital learning platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, Canvas)
- Strong subject matter expertise in at least 2 core academic areas
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to simplify complex concepts
- Patience, creativity, and ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles
- Valid Indiana teaching license preferred but not required for contract roles
- Reliable high-speed internet and dedicated home workspace
