Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one or small group virtual tutoring sessions via Zoom, Google Meet, or our proprietary learning platform.
- Develop customized lesson plans and study materials tailored to individual student needs and learning styles.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to ensure academic growth.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and session notes.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to discuss student development and curriculum updates.
- Stay updated on curriculum standards and utilize educational technology tools to enhance the learning experience.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Math, Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Proven experience as a tutor, teacher, or teaching assistant in a virtual or in-person setting.
- Strong command of the English language with excellent grammar and communication skills.
- Ability to create a positive, encouraging, and structured learning environment online.
- Proficient in using technology, including video conferencing tools (Zoom, Teams) and Learning Management Systems (Canvas, Blackboard).
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated workspace.
- Must reside in or be willing to work as a remote employee based in the Jacksonville, FL area.
