Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging 1-on-1 virtual tutoring sessions tailored to each student's unique learning style and pace.
- Prepare students for standardized tests, including the SAT, ACT, and NY Regents exams, with a focus on mastery and confidence.
- Develop custom lesson plans and supplementary resources to reinforce key concepts and bridge knowledge gaps.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive, actionable feedback to both students and parents/guardians.
- Maintain a professional, positive, and encouraging learning environment during every virtual session.
- Collaborate with the academic team to refine curriculum materials and tutoring methodologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject area (Math, Science, English, etc.) or equivalent professional experience.
- Valid teaching certification (NY State preferred) or a proven track record in K-12 or higher education.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly and simply.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet, dedicated workspace.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate student schedules.
