Responsibilities
- Conduct Virtual Sessions: Deliver engaging, one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions via our secure video conferencing and learning management systems.
- Student Engagement: Foster a positive and motivating learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
- Curriculum Support: Assist students with homework, test preparation, and concept mastery aligned with their grade level and curriculum standards.
- Progress Tracking: Monitor student performance and provide constructive feedback to parents/guardians regarding academic progress and areas for improvement.
- Resource Development: Create customized lesson plans and study materials tailored to individual student needs and learning styles.
- Platform Administration: Utilize our proprietary tutoring software to manage schedules, track attendance, and upload session notes.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Math, Science, or a related field is highly preferred; equivalent teaching experience will be considered.
- Certification: Valid teaching certification or previous tutoring experience is a plus.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts simply.
- Technical Proficiency: Must be comfortable using video conferencing tools (Zoom, Google Meet) and learning management systems (Canvas, Blackboard, or similar).
- Reliability: Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage a flexible schedule that aligns with student needs.
- Internet Access: High-speed, reliable internet connection and a quiet workspace.
