Responsibilities
- Conduct One-on-One Sessions: Deliver engaging, personalized virtual tutoring sessions via Zoom or our proprietary learning platform to students in Sacramento and beyond.
- Curriculum Alignment: Align lesson plans with state educational standards and school curriculums to ensure academic progress.
- Student Engagement: Foster a supportive and motivating virtual learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence.
- Progress Tracking: Monitor student performance through assessments and provide constructive feedback to parents and guardians.
- Resource Development: Create custom practice materials and review exercises tailored to individual student needs.
- Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with students and the administrative team regarding scheduling and student goals.
- Technical Proficiency: Ensure a stable internet connection and utilize all available digital tools effectively during sessions.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Math, Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience tutoring K-12 students in specific subjects (Math, English, Science, etc.).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain difficult concepts clearly.
- Flexibility: Must be self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting.
- Availability: Ability to work evenings and weekends to accommodate student schedules.
- Technology: Comfortable using video conferencing software and learning management systems.
- Passion: A genuine enthusiasm for teaching and helping students achieve their academic potential.
