Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized 1-on-1 virtual tutoring sessions in core subjects (Math, Science, ELA, Social Studies)
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with Missouri state curriculum standards
- Monitor student progress through our digital dashboard and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student achievements and areas for improvement
- Utilize our interactive virtual classroom tools (digital whiteboard, screen sharing, etc.)
- Participate in quarterly professional development training sessions
- Maintain accurate session notes and progress documentation in our student management system
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject field (Master's preferred)
- Valid Missouri teaching certification OR 2+ years of verified tutoring experience
- Proven expertise in at least one core academic subject (Math/Science/ELA/Social Studies)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to adapt teaching to diverse learning styles
- Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home office environment
- Familiarity with virtual tutoring platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.)
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
