Responsibilities
- Conduct One-on-One Sessions: Deliver engaging and effective online tutoring lessons tailored to each student's learning style and pace.
- Curriculum Planning: Develop customized lesson plans and study guides based on the student's curriculum, textbooks, and specific learning goals.
- Student Assessment: Monitor student progress through quizzes, practice tests, and feedback sessions to ensure mastery of concepts.
- Parent Communication: Provide regular updates to parents/guardians regarding student performance and areas for improvement.
- Technology Management: Ensure a stable internet connection and utilize our learning management system (LMS) effectively during sessions.
- Subject Mastery: Maintain a deep understanding of your specific subject area(s) to answer complex questions and clarify doubts.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in the relevant subject matter (e.g., Math, Science, English).
- Experience: Proven experience in tutoring, teaching, or mentoring students (K-12 or higher education).
- Location: Must reside in Long Beach, CA, USA, or be willing to work fully remote within the US.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex topics simply.
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable using video conferencing tools (Zoom, Google Meet) and online whiteboards.
- Reliability: A dependable schedule with high-speed internet and a quiet workspace.
