Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1:1 and small-group virtual tutoring sessions in core subjects (Math, Science, English, History)
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with Memphis curriculum standards and student learning objectives
- Track student progress through our digital platform and provide detailed progress reports
- Communicate effectively with parents, students, and academic coordinators
- Utilize interactive digital tools (whiteboards, simulations, multimedia resources) to enhance learning
- Participate in ongoing training to refine tutoring techniques and subject expertise
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject field (Master's preferred)
- Tennessee teaching certification or equivalent tutoring experience (2+ years)
- Expertise in at least one core subject area (Math, Science, ELA, History)
- Strong technological proficiency with virtual learning platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom)
- Excellent communication skills with ability to adapt to diverse learning styles
- Proven ability to motivate students and build academic confidence
- Background check and fingerprint clearance required
