Our ideal candidate combines deep subject expertise with innovative digital teaching methods. You'll use our interactive virtual classroom platform to conduct engaging 1:1 and small group sessions, adapting lessons to individual learning styles while tracking progress through our proprietary analytics dashboard.
Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized virtual instruction in core subjects (Math, Science, English, Social Studies) for grades K-12
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with Florida state standards and curriculum requirements
- Utilize interactive digital tools (virtual whiteboards, educational games) to enhance engagement
- Monitor student progress through our LMS platform and provide detailed progress reports
- Prepare students for standardized tests (SAT, ACT, FSA) with targeted practice strategies
- Communicate effectively with parents and school partners regarding student development
- Participate in ongoing professional development and curriculum refinement sessions
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject field (Master's preferred)
- Florida teaching certification or equivalent subject-matter expertise
- 2+ years of tutoring or classroom teaching experience
- Proficiency in virtual classroom platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, our proprietary LMS)
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to simplify complex concepts
- Proven ability to motivate and engage students through digital interfaces
- Flexible schedule availability during weekday afternoons/evenings and weekends
- Background check and fingerprinting clearance compliant with Florida regulations
