The Role:
We are seeking dedicated individuals who can communicate complex concepts in an engaging and understandable manner. You will utilize our digital whiteboard and learning management system to guide students through their coursework and prepare for standardized tests.
Responsibilities
- Conduct personalized, one-on-one virtual tutoring sessions for K-12 students in Milwaukee and surrounding areas.
- Utilize digital whiteboards and learning management systems (LMS) to explain concepts and facilitate problem-solving.
- Track student progress and provide constructive feedback to parents/guardians via detailed progress reports.
- Prepare customized lesson plans based on state standards and individual student needs.
- Maintain a professional and encouraging online presence, fostering a safe and productive learning environment.
- Stay updated on curriculum changes and educational best practices within your subject matter.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher in Education, English, Math, Science, or a related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- Proven experience in tutoring, teaching, or mentoring students.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet workspace.
- Proficiency in using video conferencing tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams) and digital whiteboards.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students of diverse backgrounds.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
