Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1:1 and small-group virtual tutoring sessions via our interactive platform
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and student needs
- Monitor student progress through regular assessments and provide actionable feedback
- Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding student achievements and goals
- Utilize digital tools (whiteboards, shared documents, multimedia resources) for dynamic lessons
- Collaborate with academic advisors to address learning challenges and adjust teaching strategies
- Maintain accurate session records and progress documentation in our learning management system
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Mathematics, Science, English, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 1+ years of tutoring or classroom teaching experience (K-12 focus preferred)
- Proficiency in virtual teaching platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.) and digital learning tools
- Strong subject matter expertise in at least two core academic areas
- Excellent communication skills with ability to simplify complex concepts
- Patience, creativity, and ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles
- Valid Minnesota teaching license or willingness to obtain within 90 days
- Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home workspace
