Responsibilities
- Conduct live, one-on-one virtual tutoring sessions using our secure online learning platform.
- Create tailored lesson plans and study materials that align with state standards and individual student needs.
- Foster an inclusive and encouraging learning environment that boosts student confidence and engagement.
- Track student progress and performance metrics to adjust teaching strategies and ensure academic growth.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student achievements and areas for improvement.
- Maintain a professional digital workspace and ensure high-quality audio/video connectivity during sessions.
- Stay updated on educational best practices and platform updates to provide the highest quality of service.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (Education, English, Math, Science, etc.) is preferred.
- Strong command of the English language with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Subject Matter Expertise in K-12 subjects, SAT/ACT preparation, or specific college-level disciplines.
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus but not strictly required for top candidates.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet, distraction-free home office environment.
- Proficiency with technology, including video conferencing tools (Zoom/Teams) and digital whiteboards.
