Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1:1 and small group virtual tutoring sessions via our interactive platform
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with NYC curriculum standards and individual learning styles
- Track student progress and provide detailed feedback to parents and academic advisors
- Utilize digital tools (interactive whiteboards, screen sharing, educational apps) to enhance learning
- Collaborate with our curriculum team to refine teaching methodologies and resources
- Maintain accurate session records and progress documentation in our portal
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject area (Master's preferred)
- 2+ years of teaching/tutoring experience with proven student achievement results
- Expertise in K-12 curriculum (Common Core-aligned) and NYS learning standards
- Exceptional communication skills with ability to simplify complex concepts
- Proficiency in virtual tutoring platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.)
- NY State teaching certification or equivalent credentials
- Reliable high-speed internet and dedicated home office setup
