Responsibilities
- Conduct One-on-One Sessions: Deliver engaging, personalized virtual tutoring sessions tailored to individual student learning styles and goals.
- Curriculum Development: Create customized lesson plans and study guides aligned with state standards and student needs.
- Progress Monitoring: Assess student performance regularly and provide constructive, actionable feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
- Communication: Maintain open and professional communication lines with students and their parents/guardians regarding session details and progress.
- Platform Proficiency: Utilize our proprietary learning management system (LMS) effectively to track attendance and student data.
- Subject Expertise: Provide accurate explanations and homework assistance across a variety of subjects including Math, Science, English, and History.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education, the specific subject area, or related field; current enrollment in a teacher preparation program is also accepted.
- Experience: Proven experience in tutoring, teaching, or mentoring students (K-12 or Adult Education).
- Technical Skills: Must have a high-speed internet connection, a quiet workspace, and proficiency with video conferencing tools (Zoom, Google Meet).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts simply.
- Reliability: Ability to adhere to scheduled hours and demonstrate punctuality and professionalism in a remote setting.
