Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging 1:1 and small-group virtual tutoring sessions in core academic subjects
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with California State Standards
- Monitor student progress and provide detailed progress reports to parents
- Utilize interactive digital tools (whiteboards, simulations, assessment software)
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and academic advisors
- Participate in ongoing professional development workshops
- Maintain accurate session documentation and scheduling records
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject field (required)
- CA teaching credential or equivalent certification (preferred)
- 2+ years of tutoring or classroom teaching experience
- Proficiency in virtual tutoring platforms (Zoom, Google Classroom, etc.)
- Strong subject expertise in Math, Science, or English
- Excellent communication skills and cultural competency
- Background check and fingerprint clearance
- Availability for weekday evening and weekend sessions
