Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one virtual tutoring sessions for K-12 students and adult learners using Zoom or similar platforms.
- Create engaging, customized lesson plans that cater to individual learning styles and academic goals.
- Utilize interactive whiteboards and digital tools to visualize complex concepts effectively.
- Monitor student progress through regular assessments and provide constructive feedback to parents and guardians.
- Prepare students for standardized tests such as the SAT, ACT, and GRE with focused test-taking strategies.
- Maintain a professional, encouraging, and safe online learning environment for all students.
- Communicate effectively with the academic team to ensure consistent student support.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, English, Math, Science, or a related field (or currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field).
- Strong command of the English language with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet workspace free from distractions.
- Patient, empathetic, and able to explain difficult concepts in simple terms.
- Flexibility to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs.
- Experience with virtual classroom software (Zoom, Google Classroom, Canvas) is highly preferred.
