Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized 1-on-1 and small group virtual tutoring sessions in core subjects (Math, Science, English, History)
- Develop customized lesson plans aligned with PA state curriculum standards and student learning objectives
- Utilize interactive digital tools (virtual whiteboards, multimedia resources) to enhance remote learning engagement
- Monitor student progress through regular assessments and provide detailed progress reports to parents
- Collaborate with academic advisors to address learning gaps and implement intervention strategies
- Maintain accurate student records and session documentation in our learning management system
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant subject field (Master's preferred)
- PA state teaching certification or equivalent academic credentials
- Minimum 2 years of classroom or virtual tutoring experience with K-12 students
- Proficiency in video conferencing platforms (Zoom, Google Meet) and digital teaching tools
- Strong communication skills with ability to adapt teaching methods to diverse learning styles
- Reliable high-speed internet and dedicated home office setup
- Clearances (PA Child Abuse, FBI Background Check) or willingness to obtain
